Meet the Team

Owner

Malik Khalfani

Malik Khalfani, owner of Columbus Musicians, LLC, is currently pursuing his doctorate in music from The Ohio State University, and serves as a music director and live performance activist. As a multi-instrumentalist, he has over a decade of experience curating and performing music for symphony orchestras, theatre, as well as weddings and special events.

Staff Custom Arranger

James Marler

James is an award-winning composer and arranger, a graduate of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts prestigious Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, and, most importantly, husband to Betty and Dad to Dreu, Liliana, Alannah, and Morgan. He is currently a DMA student in Music Composition at the University of Alabama.

In his spare time James is a documented lavender/vanilla enthusiast who loves naps. Also, James has no spare time, but really does enjoy lavender/vanilla tea.

James works magic with his ability to transform any song, whether it be on Spotify or a TikTok or YouTube video, into a work of art specially written for the ensemble of your choice. Even if there is no sheet music available, James can make it happen, and we are so grateful for his amazing work!
